Inter Milan winger Tajon Buchanan could finally make his first starting appearance for the club against Hellas Verona.

The 25-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in January as a replacement for Juan Cuadrado who underwent surgery in December.

But with Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries battling out for a spot, the Canadian couldn’t find any space on the right flank.

Instead, Simone Inzaghi has been deploying him on the left as a backup for Federico Dimarco. This is also because the Nerazzurri coach has been using Carlos Augusto as Alessandro Bastoni’s understudy in defense.

Buchanan has already made nine appearances in Serie A, and even has a goal to his name, This came in the 5-0 rooting of Frosinone a couple of weeks ago.

Nevertheless, the former Club Brugge star has yet to make his full debut.

But according to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, this could finally change on the final day of the Serie A season.

The Nerazzurri will take on Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday night.

The Roman newspaper believes Inzaghi could hand Buchanan the reins on the left wing from the get-go.

Elsewhere, Emil Audero could start in goal instead of Yann Sommer. The defensive trio could feature Yann Bisseck, Stefan de Vrij and Bastoni.

Dumfries should occupy the right flank, while Davide Frattesi, Kritjan Asllani and Nicolo Barella start in the middle of the park.

Finally, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez should link up with Marko Arnautovic upfront. This would leave Marcus Thuram and Alexis Sanchez on the bench.

INter Probable (3-5-2): Audero; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Frattesi, Asllani, Barella, Buchanan; Arnautovic, Lautaro.
