Casemiro puts relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo at risk

Casemiro has played alongside some of the best footballers in the world and for many of the world’s best clubs.

The Brazilian international has played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo both at Real Madrid and Manchester United with the two having huge amounts of success.

At Madrid, the duo won LaLiga, Champions Leagues, Super Cup trophies, and Club World Cups as the Spanish side became a powerhouse of world football.

When the two rekindled at Manchester United, on the other hand, they played together for a brief period before Ronaldo left the club to explore other prospects.

With Casemiro now at Inter Miami, after joining the Major Soccer League side on a free transfer earlier this month, the midfielder will be playing alongside Lionel Messi.

Supporters have consistently debated between Ronaldo and Messi to see who is better, an argument that is still ongoing as both players continue to play professionally.

Casemiro has now opened up on what he thinks of playing with Messi, possibly denting his relationship with his old Madrid teammate Ronaldo.

Speaking to The Sun, the midfielder said: “All players imagine playing with the best of all time. For me, without a doubt, I’m living a dream by playing with the best of all time.

“I want to enjoy it and help him keep winning because he is a winner. He is being joined by another player who wants to win and wants to compete.

“In the end, it’s always very close between winning and losing, but we want to compete. Of course, I’m here for him and to help him.

“He is one of the gods, if not the god of football. I want to enjoy being with him and keep winning with him.”

After making his debut for Inter Miami earlier this month, the midfielder has joined an extensive list of individuals to play alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, made up of some of the world’s best players.

Casemiro’s move to the club continues to attract scrutiny, however, with the MLS conducting their own investigation into the move.
