AC Milan are interested in signing Portuguese striker Fabio Silva from Wolves but they face stiff competition from Sevilla.

As has been reported by CaughtOffside, the Rossoneri think that Silva could be a good depth option for the summer transfer window and the Premier League side have asked for €23m for the Portugal U21 player.

Silva is primarily a product of the FC Porto youth academy, having also briefly played for Benfica in his youth. He eventually signed for Wolves in 2020 for a massive €40m, a price tag that he has failed to live up to. He was just 18 years old when that move was made.

He has spent time on loan at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and now Rangers, but he could be set for a permanent departure as Wolves try to stay within the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

Milan need to sign at least one striker this summer and whilst Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee is the priority to be the Olivier Giroud replacement, a player like Silva could develop very well as the rotational option.

Sevilla have also shown an interest in Silva but Milan will be able to offer Champions League football which the Spanish side cannot.
