Celtic have finalised their 2025 pre-season schedule. The Scottish Champions begin their preparations for the new season as Brendan Rodgers eyes continued domestic dominance while continuing progress in Europe.

In order to facilitate such progress, the club have pieced together a comprehensive pre-season schedule that will look to equip the team for the beginning of the campaign as well as the UEFA Champions League Playoffs at the end of August.

Early July sees warm-ups against Queen’s Park and Cork City. Afterwards, the squad will head to Portugal for a training camp, which culminates in a friendly against Sporting CP. Back in Glasgow, they’ll welcome Newcastle United at Celtic Park before travelling to Italy for a mini-tournament featuring Ajax, Como, and/or Al‑Ahli.

The Premiership fixture list was released on 20 June 2025, with Celtic opening their title defence against St Mirren at home . In Europe, they start their Champions League campaign in the play-off round .

Pre-Season summary:

Early July: Friendlies vs. Queen’s Park Away – 4th July 7:45pm KO) & Cork City (Away – 8th July 6pm KO)

Portugal: Behind closed doors game versus Estrela da Amadora (12th July) and Sporting CP match (16th July 7:30pm KO)

Celtic Park: Newcastle United at Celtic Park (19th July 3pm KO)

Como Cup: Ajax and Como/Al‑Ahli (July 23–27)
