Although the attention of a lot of people has turned to this summer’s FIFA World Cup in North America, a very busy summer is still in store for Celtic.

There is still confirmation awaiting on who the new manager will be. For all intents and purposes, it seemed certain that Martin O’Neill would only be manager until the end of the season, but his departure still hasn’t been ruled out, and we are now in June.

Meanwhile, the likes of Robbie Keane continue to be heavily linked with the managerial role. Then there is the squad that will clearly need plenty of upheaval. Yet, surely there will need to be a manager in charge to oversee all of that.

Plenty of arrivals and departures are likely. One player who looks like he will leave the club is Arne Engels. According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, midfielder Arne Engels is set to depart Celtic Park this summer.

He mentions that the player recently joined DWMA Football Agency, and wants to take the “next step in his career.” According to his report, a number of Premier League and Serie A clubs are interested in the player, including giants AC Milan. Certainly one to keep an eye on over the coming weeks and months.
