Celtic defeated Falkirk 1-0 on Wednesday in the Scottish Premiership's Matchday 17. Following the match, manager Martin O'Neill confirmed the club's January transfer plans.
The Hoops arrived in good form for this match, after defeating Dundee United 4-0 on Saturday. However, the January transfer window has left fans unhappy.
Celtic needs reinforcements. And manager O'Neill thinks the same. The coach confirmed that the club will definitely make signings in the next 15 days, noting that the priority is a striker.
“You know, I am trying. I know I have not done anything since yesterday, but I am trying," said O'Neill, via Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
“And we will definitely get people in. We definitely, you can tell, we need to get a center forward. We are looking for help," he added.

Among the recent rumors is that of Slovenian striker Franko Kovacevic. When asked directly about the player in a press conference and whether he would be someone to look at, O’Neill said, “I think that I would, I’m probably sure I have done so."
There are two weeks left before the January transfer window closes, and Celtic fans are beginning to grow desperate for signings, which is understandable.
Chelsea's David Datro Fofana, FC Lorient's Mohamed Bamba, and Union Berlin's Andrej Ilic are three other forwards who have also recently been linked to the Hoops.
The Scottish club’s next commitments are both in cup competitions. First, on Sunday, Jan. 18, against Auchinleck Talbot in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup, and subsequently on Jan. 22 in the UEFA Europa League against Bologna. Both matches are away.
