Celtic are planning to honour the club’s greatest ever team next season. It will be sixty years since the iconic run by Jock Stein’s side culminated in their European Cup triumph in Lisbon. It has been leaked that the club will update their badge to recognise the 60th anniversary of the Lisbon season.

In an update by FootyHeadlines, Celtic will recognise the 60th anniversary in a new look badge.

This update will likely mean that Celtic and Adidas are already working on new kits for the new season. Although, it is important that the club manage the forthcoming anniversary with class in recognition of the achievement on the 25th of May 1967 and all the work leading up to that day.

With three Lions remaining, it is important that the legacy of Lisbon is honoured. The 50th anniversary celebrations were topped off by Tom Rogic’s late winner in the Scottish Cup Final to land Brendan’s side an Invincible Treble.

The club require to mend fences with the support and assure the fans that the club are being managed efficiently. There have been concerns over the club’s lack of planning in the transfer window as well as their inability to communicate with fans. These are issues that require to be addressed but it is hoped that there will be progress soon.
