“Welcome President Ilir Meta to Glasgow. He’s so looking forward to his first visit to Paradise,” AnnFrances Murray tweeted last night.
AnnFrances is of course married to the former Celtic cult-hero Rudi Vata and is the mother of current Celtic Ireland U17 star Rocco Vata and they’ll all be at Celtic Park this afternoon for the Europa League match against the Hungarian Champions Ferencvaros.
Rudi and his country’s President are founding members of the Albanian Celtic Supporters Club and there’s seldom a Celtic victory that goes past without the President of Albania welcoming the score on social media.
He is often pictured wearing the Hoops and it all began after bumping into a group of Celtic fans outside his hotel in Sarajevo a few years ago.
Hopefully Celtic invite President Ilir Meta onto the park to relieve the applause of the entire Celtic support at the game this afternoon.
