Tonight’s Champions League match between Manchester City and Napoli will mark a reunion between Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola, and even if the Spaniard has a way better record in the competition, the Italian has a better head-to-head.
Conte and Guardiola reunite in tonight’s Champions League clash between Manchester City and Napoli, and the meeting between the two coaches is undoubtedly one of the talking points at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola is one of the Champions League specialists, having won the trophy three times as a coach, while Conte has never gone beyond the quarter-finals in his coaching career.
Furthermore, the Manchester City coach has won 112 of his 181 Champions League games, 61%, while Conte has won 15 out of 42, just 35%.
The head-to-head record between Conte and Guardiola, however, is favourable to the Italian, who has beaten the Spaniard four times in seven meetings, losing three times.
As reported by TMW , only Luis Enrique has a better record against Guardiola with three wins and two losses, considering coaches who have faced the Manchester City boss at least five times.
