Inter Milan overcame Barcelona to reach their second Champions League final in three years, carried by a sold-out San Siro.
Per Calcio e Finanza via FCInterNews, Inter’s European heroics have substantially boosted the club’s finances this season.
Fresh off breaking a gate receipt record for Serie A clubs in Europe, Inter squeezed past Barcelona to book tickets for Munich.
In doing so, Simone Inzaghi equaled a historic club feat, drawing level with the legendary Helenio Herrera.
Indeed, they’re the only Inter managers to reach two Champions League finals.
More importantly, the club’s coffers swell with €132 million in revenue, strengthening Inter’s financial position ahead of the summer.
To get started, Inter received €18.62m as a participation bonus, plus an extra €9.7m for finishing fourth in the league phase.
Furthermore, they earned €24.02 from a European market pool share and €7.36m from a non-European share.
Then, performance-related bonuses poured €13.3m into the club’s bank accounts, while a top-eight finish secured another €2m.
Additionally, reaching the quarter-finals handed Inter Milan a total of €23.5m in qualification bonuses.
