Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani will have a chance to fight for their place at Inter Milan with the arrival of Cristian Chivu as coach.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani are two midfielders at a crossroads.

Neither Frattesi nor Asllani have been regular starters for Inter over the past couple seasons.

Therefore, there has long been a sense that both could leave the club.

At the very least, the Nerazzurri will certainly listen to offers for both Frattesi and Asllani.

Frattesi & Asllani To Fight For Inter Futures Under Chivu

However, Frattesi and Asllani have struggled for playing time under coach Simone Inzaghi at Inter.

Inzaghi has left the club, however. The 49-year-old stepped down this week to join Al-Hilal.

Therefore, things could very well change for the likes of Frattesi and Asllani.

Inter have decided upon Cristian Chivu to replace Inzaghi as coach.

And the Romanian will certainly have the chance to evaluate the squad. And he could see certain players differently than Inzaghi had done.

Therefore, that could present a big chance for Frattesi and Asllani to turn things around. If Chivu sees them as having a prominent role in his team, then they could stay at Inter.
