Manchester United are continuing their squad rebuild as they move forward under Ruben Amorim, overhauling the team to his game plans.
This summer saw a complete overhaul of their attack, selling Alejandro Garancho and Antony, loaning out Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
In their place, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko were signed, with all three routinely featuring in the starting eleven when fit.
Alongside the trio, Senne Lammens was also signed in goal, seeing Andre Onana head to Trabzonspor on loan to make room, but Lammens is now no longer the newest goalkeeper at Carrington.
Manchester United have now officially completed the signing of 16-year-old Charlie Hardy from Derby County, with the talented teenager documenting the move on Instagram.
Taking to social media, Hardy announced his move, commenting: “Proud to sign for Manchester United, the hard work continues”
CentreDevils revealed United’s initial talks with the goalkeeper back in July 2025, with the Red Devils having spent the last few months negotiating his move.
Now, it’s all official and the England Under-16s has now moved from Derby to Manchester.
Whilst it’s unknown which level of the academy Charlie Hardy will be joining, it’s likely the 16-year-old will fit into Darren Fletcher’s Under-18s side.
There he’ll be joining top talents like Harley Emsden-James who joined from Southampton in the summer, as well as established academy talents Godwill Kukonki, Jim Thwaites and Kai Rooney.
Fletcher’s side currently sit in third place in the Under-18s Premier League on 20 points, just behind second-place Newcastle United on 22 points and seven points off rivals Manchester City in first place.
