Chelsea forward Armando Broja wants to stay with the club this summer and make an impression on expected new manager Mauricio Pochettino

That’s according to the Evening Standard, who also claims that the Albanian will be ready to play in the Blues’ upcoming pre-season friendlies this summer.

The 21-year-old suffered a cruciate ligament rupture at the end of last year and has yet to make his return, meaning he’s not played a single match in 2023.

Broja is a graduate of the club’s academy and has had loan spells with Vitesse Arnhem and more recently with Southampton in the Premier League. In 32 league games, he scored six times for the Saints during the 2021/22 campaign.

Should he become Chelsea manager, Pochettino has experience developing young talent when he was at Tottenham Hotspur including the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, with the latter struggling after the Argentine left Spurs.

With his desire to impress, perhaps there’s hope for the striker to make an impact at Stamford Bridge. However, with a potential rebuild taking place this summer, Broja may find himself getting lost in the shuffle.
