Boca Juniors is home to some of the best talents in South America, and the club has a strong reputation for developing players who are ready to move to Europe. As a result, several leading clubs closely follow their matches in search of the next standout talent, including Arsenal.

The Gunners have been following Leonel Flores, according to a report on Sport Witness. At 19, Flores is already an important player for Boca Juniors and has been tipped for a move to Europe in the near future, with Arsenal monitoring his development closely.

Chelsea Also Interested

Arsenal admire the youngster and view him as a top player in the making. However, the report adds that Chelsea are also in the picture to sign him, creating the possibility of a direct battle between the two London clubs for his signature.

Boca Juniors would ideally like to keep Flores for longer and allow his market value to rise further. Even so, the report states that the club have opened the door for him to leave during the January transfer window, which could accelerate any potential transfer.

Arsenal Must Act Quickly

This development is a significant boost for Arsenal, who could make their move soon if they are serious about signing Flores. The opportunity to sign a promising South American talent from Boca Juniors does not come around often, and the Gunners will be aware of the need to act decisively.

If Arsenal delay, Flores may have no hesitation in joining Chelsea as his first European club. That would be a frustrating outcome for Arsenal, particularly if he goes on to perform well at Stamford Bridge. For the Gunners, the coming weeks could be crucial in determining whether they can secure one of South America’s most highly regarded young players.
