Chelsea continue to accrue promising young talents as they have announced a deal to sign 22-year-old striker Emanuel Emegha on a pre-agreement, meaning the Strasbourg man won’t move until the summer of 2026, not useful for their current striking woes.

Announced officially by the club itself, the attacker will complete his move in June 2026 where they hailed him as one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards. The Strasbourg man had a strong 2024/25, grabbing 14 goals and three assists, he’ll get an extra season of development before making a move to England to compete with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro for minutes up front.

No fee has been mentioned yet but the team will have to meet fair market rules for the deal with a side under the BlueCo banner. Announcing the move early means they won’t pay as much if the attacker explodes this campaign and nets even more goals than his last term.

With Nicolas Jackson on the outs and possibly staying in Bayern Munich, Emegha can add to the striker ranks with ease.

Digging into his abilities, he had an 80% pass completion, ranking in the top 95 percent for forwards, he had an npxG per 90 of 0.69, one of the highest in Europe’s top five leagues, and even chipped in with a solid 0.1 xAG, which could improve in a stronger Blues unit helmed by Enzo Maresca.

With his physical profile and talents on the pitch, this could just be Chelsea’s next great marksman. Even if not, he’ll forge a strong career somewhere.
