There’s some interesting moves made here from Enzo Maresca. George is starting as the striker after proving effective as a winger/false nine type in recent outings. His movement and ability to dribble certainly fit ths possession-heavy style that the Blues use.

Enzo getting a start as the attacking midfielder allows Cole Palmer to rest with Christopher Nkunku not having travelled for this competition. This means James partners Dewsbury-Hall in a now familiar pairing with the right-back turned midfielder staying deep while the former Leicester man floats into space around the box.
