Chelsea Confirmed Lineup vs Flamengo for June 20

This is the Chelsea confirmed lineup for their Club World Cup tie with Flamengo. The Brazilian side are managed by a former Blues player in Filipe Luis and recently added Champions League winner Jorginho to their squad. Enzo Maresca started strong against LAFC but with only a few days between matches he may be forced to rotate here and protect players like Reece James or Romeo Lavia.

Rob Sanchez starts in goal with a back line of Reece James, Marc Cucrella, Levi Colwill, and Trevoh Chalobah. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are the starting pivot with Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer, Malo Gusto, and Liam Delap rounding out the eleven.

Notable Changes

There’s an expected change of Enzo coming in for Romeo Lavia but there are also some interesting one. Gusto, Cucurella and James all starting will make for an interesting setup. It’s possible Cucurella is on the left wing with Gusto or James as left back. The Frenchman could operate on the right-wing either as the other two stay back in natural positions.

The biggest move is that Nicolas Jackson is out for Delap. Both strikers nabbed assists against LAFC as the competition between the two heats up. Colwill once again gets a different partner at the back with Tosin Adarabioyo switched out for Chalobah despite not putting a foot wrong.

Maresca is showing his versatility and mind with this one, he’s certainly fitting some square pegs into round holes to keep balance in his squad.
