Jacobo Ramon is a highly rated young defender who Chelsea have been linked with – but may be about to miss out on.

Arsenal are being linked with interest in Como’s Jacobo Ramon, one of the major success stories that Cesc Fabregas’ team has had in important top young Spanish talent.

According to CaughtOffside, the Gunners are looking to add yet more depth to their very strong back line with further additions like the talented Ramon.

Ramon was a player we saw Chelsea linked to quite often in the last 12 months, and it would certainly be a shame to see yet another talented central defender go to Arsenal. The Gunners seem to be so much better at picking out defensive players than Chelsea do.

Equally, all reports are that the Blues are going to look to sign players with experience in the Premier League this summer, and for all of Ramon’s quality, he doesn’t offer the maturity or experience which will apparently be the priority – so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at the Emirates.
