Chelsea fans dream of signing Victor Osimhen as club legend Didier Drogba met the Napoli star prior to Ivory Coast-Nigeria at AFCON.

The video of a meeting between the Napoli forward and the ex-Chelsea legend has gone viral on X, formerly Twitter, ahead of Thursday’s AFCON group-stage game between Ivory Coast and Nigeria.

Osimhen has recently signed a contract extension with his club until 2026, but the new deal reportedly includes a release clause in the region of €120-130m and Chelsea are said to be among the clubs interested in securing the Nigeria international’s services next summer.

Osimhen is one of the best strikers in Serie A and was last season’s Capocannoniere with 26 league goals which helped Napoli secure their first Scudetto in 33 years.

His meeting with Drogba has boosted the confidence of Chelsea fans who have been commenting on the video on social media, hoping that the club legend will somehow persuade Osi to move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
