Bukayo Saka’s Recent Admission Will Go Down Well with Arsenal Fans

Arsenal fans are sure to love Bukayo Saka’s recent comments, though they might not go down as well with those over at Chelsea.

Saka has been part of Arsenal since he was eight years old, and it’s clear how much the club means to him.

He’s also developed into one of the top players in the game, which has only strengthened his connection with the fans.

Saka already held a special place in the hearts of Arsenal supporters, and his latest words have only reinforced that bond.

Saka has taken inspiration from club legends, a path that could help him carve out his own place in Arsenal history.

Many fans already see him as one of their own, a view that only grew stronger after his recent comments on the Men in Blazers podcast.

The question posed to Saka is one that often splits opinion across the capital, depending on which side of the rivalry you sit. “Are Arsenal London’s team?” he was asked.

Saka didn’t hesitate, backing his side with confidence: “I definitely think it’s [Arsenal] the biggest team in London, it’s my opinion, fight me if you want, I don’t care.”

Both had their early days spent trying to make up ground against more successful city rivals before eventually finding their own success and then making long-term impacts on the game globally.

Tottenham supporters may not put up much of an argument there, but Chelsea fans will point to European success as proof they belong ahead of Arsenal. The Blues never miss a chance to bring up their Champions League title when this debate comes around.

From an overall trophy count though, Saka does have a point. Arsenal lead with 48 major honours compared to Chelsea’s 34 and Tottenham’s 26.

Chelsea supporters might take issue with Saka’s stance, but if his comments are anything to go by, he won’t be losing sleep over it.

Arsenal fans left Saka stunned by show of support

Saka is a lifelong Arsenal fan living out the dream of many, and he’s fully aware of how much the supporters appreciate him.

That came through clearly in a GOAL video from last year, where he watched clips of fans choosing to keep him over a guaranteed league title.

The response from fans was overwhelmingly supportive. One said: “That’s not worth it, that’s your star boy, that’s like your son.”

Another added: “We’ll win the league again, I’ll keep Saka.”

Saka was clearly moved by what he heard and responded with real gratitude, saying: “Wow, that’s real love you know.”

Moments like this highlight just how strong the connection is between Saka and Arsenal supporters. As long as he keeps building on this relationship – and perhaps throwing in the odd dig at rivals – his path to club legend status seems inevitable.
