Chelsea News: 'Create a real bond' – New loan signing’s first words suggest he wants to stay

The January transfer window came to an end late last night and Chelsea fans didn’t even feel the need to stay awake and watch the deals come through and be confirmed.

This is because Chelsea were barely involved in anything late, or anything at all really all window, which is a far cry from recent windows, especially this time last year when they confirmed the big money signing of midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica late on deadline day.

The only late deal that was being confirmed by Chelsea actually had more interest from Fulham fans, and that is because they were signing Blues striker Armando Broja on loan.

The Albanian international made the super short trip to Chelsea’s neighbours to sign until the end of the season, but judging by his first words at the club, it looks like he would ideally like to stay at Craven Cottage going forward, and who can blame him?

As cited by the Fulham website, Broja said:

“It feels amazing. I’m really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started, meet the players and manager and play for the fans.

“The fans always play a big role and I can’t wait to go to Craven Cottage and meet them all. I’m going to work hard for the team and create a real bond.

“I’m really honoured and excited to be here.”
