These are the Chelsea vs Napoli confirmed lineups for their UEFA Champions League clash on the final day of the league phase. It is all to play for as the group goes down the wire as goal difference could make the difference between an automatic bye or a precarious play-in, or for the Italian side the difference between qualifying at all and going home. It is all to play for in Naples as two of Europe’s biggest teams collide with their European hopes on the line.
Rob Sanchez starts in goal with a new look back line of Malo Gusto, Reece James, Wes Fofana, and Marc Cucurella. Andrey Santos partners Moises Caicedo in midfield with Estevao, Enzo, and Pedro Neto supporting Joao Pedro up front.
An interesting change in the back line with Gusto and James starting as Trevoh Chalobah drops to the bench, this will see a new look centre-back partnership. We could also see a firm back three in possession depending on who moves where.
Alex Meret starts in goal with Juan Jesus, Allessandro Buongiorno, Mathias Oliveria, Leonardo Spinazzola Eljif, Elmas, Lobtoka, Scott McTominay, Rasmus Hojlund, and Vergara rounding things out
Elmas and Vergara play off of Hojund with a Lobtoka and McTominay pivot. The setup is a 4-2-3-1 with Oliveira coming in for Gutierrez in the only change from a loss to Juventus.
