These are the Chelsea vs Qarabag confirmed lineups for their UEFA Champions League clash. The Blues are off to Baku for this one which means it is an early start time for UK viewers of 17:45. This will most likely be a one-sided win as the Premier League side contains enough depth and tactical nous to control the match. The opposition aren’t to be sniffed at after wins over Benfica and Copenhagen but the Europa Conference League showed that Enzo Maresca can control matches against lower-level opposition.
Rob Sanchez gets the nod in goal with a back line of Reece James, Tosin Adarabioyo, Jorrel Hato, and Marc Cucurella. Andrey Santos partners Romeo Lavia in midfield with Estevao, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gitten supporting Tyrique George up front.
A rare back four combo as James, Cucurella, and Hato all start with Tosin. Most would have expect the Spandiard to be rested but he is instead getting a start. Lavia and Santos are the b-pairing in defensive midfield when Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are given a rest. The other one to note is George starting up front instead of Marc Guiu who scored in the previous Champions League outing.
Matusz Kochalski starts with Matheus Silva, Bahlul Mustafazade, Kevin Medina, and Elvin Jafarguliyev in the back line. Pedro Bicalho and Marko Jankvoci are in midfield with Leandro Andrade, Abdellah Zoubir and Kady. Camilo Duran is the attacker in what looks to be a 4-5-1.
Stay tuned for the Chelsea vs Qarabag confirmed lineups. There will be news as well as discussions on who started, who misses out, and what tactical alterations we could see from the coaches.
