Enzo Fernandez has again been linked to Real Madrid as a possible signing for next season. In England, they already see Los Blancos going all out for the Argentine midfielder. And they even see him breaking records in LaLiga as one of the highest transfers.

It was journalist Dean Jones, specializing in transfers, who talked about it. "The player signed for Chelsea for 106.8 million pounds, so any transfer would become one of the most important ever seen in La Liga," he said.

"Real Madrid sources say the club has received indications that Chelsea would be willing to sell Enzo Fernandez at the right price," he revealed.

Chelsea indeed considers some players untouchable, but Enzo might not be one of them. The same source indicates that "the Argentine international is not completely off limits." Real Madrid has learned "through intermediaries, that Chelsea could be open to a summer deal if their valuation is met."

Benfica did not make it easy for Chelsea when they closed the transfer of Enzo Fernandez. In January 2023, they had to pay 121 million euros, an amount that would now be lower. And it is that the Argentine's market valuation places him at 85 million euros (around $100 million), which is what Real Madrid is holding onto.

Factor Brings $100M Chelsea Midfielder Enzo Fernandez Closer To Real Madrid

The Blues indeed have no urgency to sell, and that can allow them to be tougher in negotiations. Although Enzo could pressure, as he would be thinking about his possible departure. Something that Real Madrid could take advantage of to get a better price.

Dean Jones has stated that "the midfielder's future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain beyond this season and Madrid has been monitoring the situation closely." And he is not the only one pointing in that direction regarding Enzo Fernandez.

Jon Obi Mikel, a legendary former Chelsea player, said, "Players like Enzo Fernandez would be thinking about leaving the team because of this lack of stability." The change of coach in the project seems to be starting to take its toll. This factor brings him even closer to Madrid.

"Fernandez is a world champion, he is not going to wait five years to win the Premier League and Champions League," Obi Mikel added.
