The Chicago Fire have an All-Star on their 2025 roster.

Fire forward Philip Zinckernagel was selected to the MLS All-Star Game roster as one of Austin FC’s Nico Estévez’s 12 Coach’s selections for the match.

Zinckernagel, 30, has been a revelation for the Fire since signing a three and a half year contract with the club in the offseason. He leads the team with five assists in MLS and is second with seven goals, and also scored once in the Fire’s victory over New England in the U.S. Open Cup.

Zinckernagel also leads Major League Soccer in Expected Goals Efficiency as his seven league goals are 4.34 more than his Expected Goals of 2.66, per MLS PR.

The veteran is the first Chicago Fire player to make it to the All-Star game since Kei Kamara was a Commissioner's selection in 2023.

Zinckernagel and the MLS All-Stars will face off against the Liga MX All-Stars at Austin FC’s Q2 Stadium on July 23, 2025. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. CT. and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV+.
