Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini is confident Dusan Vlahovic can have his say starting against Inter today, while insisting Gleison Bremer is a ‘better’ defender than he was.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s three Serie A games on the Liveblog.

“Fortunately, this match has many great memories for me, but also a few bad ones. These are the games we play football to participate in,” Chiellini told DAZN Italia.

The Bianconeri had an ideal start to the campaign, winning both matches with clean sheets against Parma and Genoa.

On the other hand, Inter need a reaction to their shock 2-1 home defeat to Udinese.

Chiellini has faith in Vlahovic and Bremer

Vlahovic scored off the bench in both their games so far, but gets his first start this evening rather than Jonathan David.

“Igor (Tudor) saw him in good shape, he’s fired up and it shows, so today he will start. We have many alternatives in attack this season, we will need them all over the course of the campaign, and are happy with the squad that we’ve got.”

Edon Zhegrova is not fully fit yet after a long lay-off, but Lois Openda is on the bench. Was he signed as an understudy for Kenan Yildiz?

“We can play in a few different ways. It’s very difficult to find someone who is a facsimile of Yildiz,” explained Chiellini.

“Openda can play with another striker or as a centre-forward, he has different characteristics, and that is why we chose him.”

Juve have not conceded at all this season, and a lot of that has to do with the return of Bremer from his anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Chiellini was asked who was the better defender, him or Bremer?

“Bremer. I always loved him, you can ask him, I said it to him too.”
