United States Men's National Team star Christian Pulisic played the role of hero for Chelsea on Sunday when he scored in the 90th minute and secured the team a 1-0 win against West Ham United.
Chelsea is third on the Premier League table and now has 65 points on the season after picking up three Sunday. While catching either Manchester City (80 points) or Liverpool (76 points) appears highly unlikely, the result against West Ham provided some much-needed distance over Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, who have 60 points and 58 points, respectively.
Pulisic, 23, joined Chelsea in January 2019 and scored nine goals in his first Premier League season. On Sunday, he was subbed in at the 76th minute for Timo Werner and scored his fifth goal of the season less than 15 minutes later.
