AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze feels like he is in a good patch of form after he followed up his winner against Udinese with an assist vs. Club Brugge.

Chukwueze could be forgiven for feeling a bit surprised and even disappointed to have been left out of the starting line-up for the game against Brugge last night, given that he was the match-winner on Saturday night.

However, Paulo Fonseca opted to use Christian Pulisic on the right – who scored his seventh goal of the season – and Ruben Loftus-Cheek down the middle. That was until the second half, when the Nigerian came on for the Englishman.

Noah Okafor set up Tijjani Reijnders’ first goal with a cut-back and then Chukwueze got a very similar assist of his own, teeing up the Dutchman to make sure of the points and send a message to the coach regarding his confidence and current form.

Chukwueze spoke to both Sky and Milan TV after the game to try and analyse what was a rollercoaster night given Brugge equalised a man down, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

You had a big impact, and Fonseca praised you after the game…

“We are here, we try to get on the pitch and give our contribution in the time we have available. We have given extra energy to the team, both me and Noah.”
