Inter captain Lautaro Martinez hit back at Sergio Ramos for a 1-1 draw against Monterrey in their opening 2025 Club World Cup game.

Mexican side Monterrey held Inter to a 1-1 draw in their opening game of the Club World Cup.

Real Madrid and Spain legend Sergio Ramos opened the account with a towering header from a corner kick at minute 25, but Lautaro levelled the score minutes before the half-time break, finalising a free-kick routine.

Both sides had chances to win the game. Monterrey midfielder Sergio Canales hit the post from distance in the second half, while Lautaro had a goal disallowed for offside before sending a shot over the crossbar from inside the box.
