AC Milan are interested in exploring a deal for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa in the event that Rafael Leao were to be sold this summer, a journalist has claimed.

The Calciomercato.it journalist Riccardo Meloni spoke to TV Play on the rumours regarding the future of Chiesa, with Milan among the teams interested in him amid struggles for Juve to get a renewal done.

“Roma are interested in Chiesa; Milan is also interested, but only if Leao leaves. There will be weeks of reflection,” he said (via TuttoJuve).

“The absolute priority for Chiesa, in any case, is Juventus: in the next few weeks there will be a meeting with Giuntoli for the renewal.”

While there is nothing too concrete on the Leao exit front, O Jogo in Portugal reported yesterday that he is the subject of interest from Al-Hilal.

The suggestion is that the Saudi Arabian side are not phased by the €175m release clause that Leao has in his contract, which no European club is expected to get close to this summer given the up and down season that the forward endured.

Al Hilal would be able to offer Leao a far greater salary than what he receives in Milan and they think he can help them win the expanded Club World Cup.
