Daniel Maldini is enjoying his second loan spell of the season at Monza, and today, a report has suggested that the Biancorossi will attempt to convince AC Milan to sell him to them this summer.

The first half of this season was disappointing for Maldini. An injury halted his season, which made his game time limited during his spell at Empoli. However, Monza believed in the youngster and made a move to take over his loan deal in the January mercato, and Milan obliged.

Since then, the 22-year-old has shown his quality, scoring four goals and assisting another in 12 games for the Brianza so far. Calciomercato.it have reported that the club are interested in bringing him to the club permanently this summer.

The original loan deal had no buy-clause, so it will not be a case of activating that, which the Rossoneri may be grateful for, given his impressive performances. However, Monza will still attempt to make a deal possible for him.

The report suggests that Milan values Maldini at a price of more than €5 million, but with his contract expiring in the summer of 2025, there could be some movement on that figure to ensure he does not leave for nothing next summer.
