Juventus forward Francisco Conceicao claimed “the heat is just an excuse” and “we want to win them all” whilst Kenan Yildiz is “happy with what [he’s] done” in the aftermath of the Old Lady’s rampant 4-1 win over Moroccan side Wydad.

Conceicao: The heat is no excuse

Speaking to DAZN after the game, with quotes via TMW, Conceicao was asked about the match, with the Portuguese star saying “It was definitely a difficult match against a very tough team. There were a lot of fouls, but we managed to express our game at our best: now a very difficult match awaits us against Manchester City.”

He was also asked by the reporter about the climate, with hot and rainy weather combining to provide a fascinating obstacle for the Bianconeri to overcome, “It was very hot and it’s not easy but we have to work hard and not look for excuses.”

Yildiz: We will take final game seriously

Meanwhile, also speaking to DAZN, Yildiz said “I feel really good and I’m happy with what I’ve contributed. I’m having a good tournament and enjoying it – let’s hope it continues!”

He was then asked about Manchester City, Juventus’ final opponents in the group stage: “We know that a really tough game awaits us and we must take the game seriously.”

Juventus were dominant against Wydad this evening, with Yildiz scoring twice and only denied a hat-trick by a deflection that was enough to see Juventus’ opener deemed an own goal. The Turkish starlet scored a fantastic long-range effort and a beautiful low-driven finish to add to the goal he scored in the Bianconeri’s first match against Al Ain.

Victories in their first two matches has all-but guaranteed Juventus a place in the knockout stages of the Club World Cup as Igor Tudor’s side receive plaudits for their two competent performances thus far.
