West Ham United veteran Aaron Cresswell has agreed to sign a new deal this summer.

The 34-year-old has put pen to paper on a one-year extension to his deal at the London club.

Per The Athletic, the defender is one whose experience will be relied on next season.

Incoming boss Julen Lopetegui does want to make changes, but believes Cresswell can play an important role.

The dearth of quality left-backs in Europe may also be contributing to the decision.

The Hammers are likely to push for a younger signing in that position, but Cresswell will now make it 11 years at the club.
