Cristian Chivu Has Only One Injury Concern Ahead Of Ajax vs Inter Milan Champions League Opener

Inter Milan head into their clash with Ajax with a nearly full squad available, as Matteo Darmian stands out as the only injury concern.

According to FCInter1908, the veteran wingback is at risk of missing today’s flight to Amsterdam.

Inter Milan will board the plane to the Netherlands later today after completing their last training session at Appiano Gentile.

More importantly, under-pressure manager Cristian Chivu has almost the entire squad fit and ready.

However, there’s one injury concern.

Matteo Darmian Could Miss Ajax vs Inter Milan Clash

Despite making a late cameo appearance against Juventus, Matteo Darmian could stay in Italy.

Indeed, the 35-year-old missed yesterday’s training due to back pain.

Therefore, he could remain at San Siro to work on his recovery.

Either way, he would’ve likely started on the bench, with Denzel Dumfries expected to retain his place on the right wing.

Meanwhile, Inter will take the field desperate to erase the memory of last season’s Champions League final.

Though considered pre-match favorites, the Nerazzurri can ill-afford to underestimate Ajax.
