He kicked off his goal-scoring tally on 7 October 2002, when he scored two goals for Sporting CP in a match. He experienced remarkable seasons at United, notably excelling in the 2007-08 campaign with 42 goals in 49 appearances. Throughout his career, Ronaldo has maintained an impressive average of 0.72 goals per game.

His time at Real Madrid was noteworthy, with him scoring 53 goals in 2010-11, 60 goals in 2011-12 and 61 goals in 2014-15. This season too the player has been in stellar form, with him scoring 31 goals in 32 matches. He ended 2023 as the world’s leading goal-scorer.

Playing for Al-Nassr in the knockout stages of the AFC Champions League, Ronaldo scored his 874th goal in his 1000th appearances for any club. Other than that, the Portuguese star is also the all-time highest international goalscorer.

Back in November 2022, Ronaldo became the first player to score 800 top-flight career goals (club and country combined). He achieved this feat during an EPL encounter against Arsenal. Out of the total number of goals, 746 goals have been scored by Ronaldo at the club level.
