Croatia coach Dalic makes plea to Real Madrid midfielder Modric

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic is eager to see Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric play on.

Modric is considering his international future after their Nations League final defeat to Spain in Rotterdam.

Dalic, however, is urging the Ballon d'Or winner to play on and guide his young team.

"We need him, this is a generation that still did not complete the job," Dalic told local media after landing back in Zagreb.

"It was rather emotional for him yesterday.

"Let him rest and he will tell us what he thinks."
