Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has made it clear that he wants a move to the Premier League despite late interest from Bayern Munich and AC MIlan.

Sky Sports correspondent Di Marzio reported earlier that Spurs are in the last phase of discussions with Genoa to sign Radu Dragusin.

However, the Lilywhites have been encountering last-minute competition from Bayern Munich and AC Milan.

Milan have proposed a swap deal involving their 21-year-old striker Lorenzo Colombo, currently on loan at Monza, along with a cash offer to Genoa to secure the signature of the Romanian centre-back.

Meanwhile, with a verbal agreement in place, the Bavarian club has also emerged as a strong contender to sign Dragusin. The Bundesliga club have reportedly offered €24 million + €6 million bonus, per Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Despite the interest from other clubs, Dragusin has been explicit about his desire to move to the Premier League. According to Dan Kilpatrick, football correspondent for the Evening Standard, the 21-year-old defender has preferred the English league as his destination despite interest from top clubs like Bayern and AC Milan.

So far, Genoa have rejected Tottenham’s second bid of €25 million plus add-ons, as they are seeking a figure closer to €30 million. They are expected to make another offer soon.

The injury woes for Spurs continue, particularly in the defence. Cristian Romero and Ben Davies are both currently out with injuries, and Micky van de Ven has only recently returned to training.

Despite the competition, Tottenham remain hopeful of securing Dragusin’s transfer.
