Nicolas Jackson has decided to snub Tottenham and join Bayern Munich instead after being left out of Enzo Maresca’s plans

Tottenham still have some unfinished business as we approach the last few days before the transfer window shuts shop. The Lilywhites are still looking to find ways to strengthen the squad and give Thomas Frank the best chance to compete hard on all four fronts this season. With time ticking on, it looks unlikely that the North London club will be able to address all the issues on the pitch.

One of the major concerns heading into the season was the lack of quality in the #9 position. And many fans were calling out Daniel Levy to bring in a new striker that could provide good competition to Dominic Solanke as the season progressed. However, Richarlison has just managed to prove that he can still be relied upon after a brilliant start to the new campaign.

The Brazil international has turned a new corner at N17 under Thomas Frank. He has bagged two goals and an assist in the first two Premier League games of the season. Not only that, but it is clear to see that the 28-year-old is working hard to prove his worth at the club and maintain his place in the starting eleven under the Danish tactician.

Tottenham all set to miss out on Chelsea attacker Nicolas Jackson

Tottenham’s search for a new striker might not turn into a reality as we approach the business-end of the transfer window. The Lilywhites are looking to strengthen the ‘striker’ position for this season, despite the resurgence of Richarlison. Though it is not a priority as of now, Daniel Levy has been trying to find a new forward that could compete with Dominic Solanke up front as the season progresses.

It was reported earlier that Spurs were keeping tabs on Chelsea outcast Nicolas Jackson. The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, suggesting that the Senegal international is not in Enzo Maresca’s plans for this season. The report also stated that the striker was asked to find a new club in the coming days, alerting Spurs about his availability.

However, the Lilywhites have suffered a massive setback in their approach to sign the Chelsea forward. As per Florian Plettenberg (via X), Bayern Munich have agreed a deal with the Blues to sign Nicolas Jackson on a loan deal. The Bundesliga champions were the favourites to land the 24-year-old after Jackson gave first preference to them this week.

In all honesty, this might be a blessing in disguise for the North London club. Signing Nicolas Jackson would have halted Richarlison’s progress under Thomas Frank. The Brazil international’s confidence would also be disrupted after a solid start to the season. Not only that, but Daniel Levy would have also been forced to find a new suitor for the 28-year-old to make space for the Chelsea striker.
