Fabrizio Romano reports that Como, Chelsea, and Inter Miami have not made contact regarding outgoing Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, but an offer from Chicago Fire remains on the table.

De Bruyne will leave Manchester City at the end of his contract in June and Italian sources reported on Friday that Como had made contact to sign the Belgium international as a free agent.

However, in one of his latest reports on X, formerly Twitter, Fabrizio Romano denied that Cesc Fabregas’ side had contacted the experienced midfielder.

Fabrizio Romano provides Como, Chelsea, Inter Miami update on De Bruyne transfer

“Como have not made contact to sign Kevin De Bruyne despite recent reports,” Romano said.

Likewise, the Italian transfer expert added that Chelsea were not in active talks for De Bruyne and there were no confirmation regarding contacts with Leo Messi’s Inter Miami.

On the other hand, another MLS side, Chicago Fire, made a formal offer to De Bruyne 10 days ago, and according to Romano, their proposal remains on the table.

Como were the highest spenders in Serie A in the 2025 January transfer window and are expected to sign Barcelona loanee Alex Valle on a permanent transfer next summer.
