Inter Milan stars Alessandro Bastoni echoed the actions of legendary Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia.

According to Corriere della Serra via FCInterNews, Bastoni’s behavior at San Siro resembled Chiellini’s antics from back in the day.

Cristian Chivu ended his ‘big game’ curse in Serie A last weekend, as Inter claimed a controversial 3-2 win over 10-man Juventus.

Indeed, Pierre Kalulu’s expulsion late in the first half tilted the balance scales in Inter’s favor, though the Nerazzurri left it late to beat their bitter rivals.

Bastoni made referee Federico La Penna believe Kalulu committed a foul on him toward the end of the first half.

Since the Frenchman was already on a yellow card, a second booking meant he was out of the game.

However, there was nothing particularly reckless in Kalulu’s challenge, making the decision highly controversial.

Furthermore, Chiellini confronted the referee in a tunnel horror show.

It was almost as if he had forgotten his own past, when he feigned a bookable foul on Ivan Perisic years ago and was later caught celebrating the deception with enthusiasm.
