Anfield erupted when Dominik Szoboszlai's free kick in the 83rd minute went in to give Liverpool the lead and the win against Arsenal. The Hungarian midfielder played as a right-back against Arsenal and impressed for a third time this season.

Szoboszlai has been arguably Liverpool's best player of the season so far, even though the Reds have only played three Premier League games.

The technique of the free kick has been admired by many, and many are aware of Szoboszlai's free-kick ability, as he scored a couple with the Hungary national team and at his former club, RB Leipzig .

Many fans did not expect the Hungarian to shoot from that distance, and Szoboszlai admits that he did not practice that type of free kick.

Dominik Szoboszlai on Free Kick Goal vs Arsenal

After the match, Dominik Szoboszlai was asked if he practiced that type of free kick from a far distance to goal. The Liverpool star admitted that he didn't practice a special technique to hit the ball that way.

Szoboszlai: "This shot I didn't practice in the past few weeks because we were shooting closer. I had to take a risk and shoot a little bit harder because I knew Raya likes to jump behind the ball. It's an unbelievable goalkeeper. If it goes a bit more inside he saves it."

Szoboszlai thanks his former Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was the free-kick taker at the club for many years. The Hungarian is now the ideal candidate to take the mantle.

Dominik Szoboszlai: "I felt this was a bit further. I was like 'I'll take the risk'. I was confident in myself, I tried it... Finally, [I've scored from a free-kick]. When you practice all the time, now I should mention Trent because he was taking the free-kicks in the past. Finally, I could have my chance and did it."
