Diego Leon signed for Manchester United in the summer as he aims to make progress in his career and, potentially in the future, to push towards United’s first team.
Since joining the Red Devils, Leon has mainly took part in the academy set-up at the club and has featured for the Under-21s side for the majority of his spell at Old Trafford so far.
As well as this, Leon recently received a call-up to join the Paraguay team in their latest set of international fixtures.
Now, during the match against the United States of America, the defender was involved in a mass brawl.
The brawl, which took place during additional time in the match, involved both benches including Leon.
However, as can be seen in the YouTube short below, his involvement appears to just be in the back rather than being involved in the main part of the brawl.
Therefore, the argument could be made that the defender was probably just trying to calm things more than anything.
With the brawl and match now concluded, which the USA won 2-1, attention could turn towards both countries’ management to see if any statements are made because of the incident.
Furthermore, attention may turn to see if either side is punished for their involvement in the brawl.
If either side is punished, punishements could be in the form of warnings, fines, or even bans for certain players.
However, only time will tell.
