There is mixed news for Fiorentina, as while Dodo picked up an injury in training, tests showed no serious damage.
The Brazilian was forced to leave the training session early on Saturday after feeling pain in his right thigh, and there were fears of a strain.
A formal statement from the club today confirms that tests were performed and showed no lesions to the flexor in the right leg.
This means that a lengthy lay-off will not be required, but Dodo will continue to train separately from the group and work on a full recovery.
It makes him a major doubt to feature in the relegation battle with Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi on Saturday evening.
The 27-year-old has made 39 competitive appearances for Fiorentina so far this season, contributing two goals and three assists.
The Viola are currently 16th in the Serie A table, just two points clear of the drop zone.
