The Athletic’s transfer expert David Ornstein has said that one Chelsea transfer deal is done and dusted this week.

Chelsea beat Benfica in the first set of knockout rounds in the Club World Cup on Saturday night, but it was far from easy and also, very far from drama!

EXCLUSVE! Chelsea pushing NOW to sign Premier League star and could even sign him without more sales!

Enzo Maresca labelled it a joke that the game got suspended for two hours due to sever weather conditions and slammed the tournament location as a result, and he really does have a point here.

And then came a flurry of late goal with Benfica equalising deep into stoppage time through a penalty to send it into extra time. Chelsea then bagged a bunch of goals to go on and win the game before it got to penalties!

Gittens hasn’t joined Chelsea yet

Despite it being well known that Jamie Gittens is joining Chelsea from Dortmund this summer, there have yet to be any confirmations of it officially being done.

And in fact, yesterday there was a report out suggesting that it wasn’t even a done deal yet with some confusing info out about it not yet being set in stone.

Done and dusted

Fear not though Chelsea fans who are excited about Gittens joining, Ornstein says the deal is done and dusted.

Speaking this week, Ornstein said:

“Gittens [to Chelsea] is done and dusted as far as we know. I think the medical was done in the states, and so that would just be a matter of time until they put it into confirmation. So there’s no real rush on that one.”

So there you go Blues fans, no need to panic and we just have to wait out the official announcement now. No dramas.
