Carles Perez is delighted with his move to Celta Vigo.

After spending last season on-loan from Roma, the former Barcelona winger has now signed permanently.

"Thank you for the effort they have made for me to be here," he said at today's presentation. "The truth is that I am very happy because what I wanted from the beginning was to stay here. I felt very welcome since I arrived.

"Celta has always been my first choice. I'm delighted. When they contacted me, I didn't even think about it."

His goal for this season is: "Above all, to grow and help the team. It's a very important year, for the club's Centenary, a top coach has arrived. We're all very excited."

And on Rafa Bentez, he added: "We are adapting to Rafa and the way he understands the game. We know the level he has. We are getting to know each other but it is a very exciting project. Above all, he insists on the solidity of the team. Before attacking well, we must defend."
