Fiorentina have given the all clear for M’Bala Nzola to join Pisa, on a paid loan with an option to buy, so he is due to undergo a medical.
We had already confirmed on Friday that the two clubs were very close to an agreement for the striker.
The breakthrough arrived only a few minutes ago, with the Viola giving him permission to travel for the medical tests and to sign the contract.
It is going to be a paid one-season loan, giving Pisa an option to make it permanent at the end of the campaign.
This should be a €1m loan fee and an option to buy for circa €5/6m.
Nzola turns 29 later this month and the Angola international spent last season on loan at RC Lens in France, where he contributed seven goals in 24 competitive games.
The former Spezia and Trapani forward was purchased by Fiorentina for €12.6m in 2023.
Pisa were promoted in second place in Serie B last season and are busy reinforcing the squad for new coach Alberto Gilardino.
So far this summer, they have already brought in Michel Aebischer on loan with obligation to buy from Bologna, Daniel Denoon from FC Zurich, Simone Scuffet from Cagliari and free agent Juan Cuadrado.
