This morning’s exams undergone by Paulo Dybala ruled out a lesion for the Roma star, who is still expected to miss the upcoming Serie A match against Parma.
The Argentinean striker was subbed off in the first half of a Europa League game against Porto on Thursday.
Dybala was kicked under the left knee by Alan Varela after 20 minutes, receiving medical treatment. He remained on the pitch until minute 39 when Claudio Ranieri was forced to replace him.
Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia and TMW, claim tests undergone by the Argentinean this morning ruled out a lesion for La Joya.
The knock, however, will likely force Dybala to miss Sunday’s away game at Parma and even if he’s available, which remains to be seen, he’ll start on the bench.
Claudio Ranieri hopes Dybala will be fit for the return leg of the Europa League knockout playoff against Porto next week. The Giallorossi collected a 1-1 draw in the opening tie on Thursday.
TMW argues that Matias Soulé and Tommaso Baldanzi will compete for a starting spot as Dybala’s replacement at the Stadio Tardini on Sunday.
