The Houston Dynamo extended midfielder Jack McGlynn's contract through 2028 with a club option for 2029 on Monday.
Acquired from the Philadelphia Union for $2.1 million ahead of this season, McGlynn has contributed three goals and five assists in 18 matches across all competitions in 2025.
"Jack has made an immediate impact since joining Houston, excelling in the attacking midfield role with his exceptional vision, quality set piece service and danger in the attacking third," Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad said.
"He has quickly demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the top young attacking midfielders in the league. Jack is also proving his quality on the international stage, becoming a regular contributor in the U.S. Men's National Team player pool. We look forward to supporting his continued development as a professional and international player here in Houston."
McGlynn played in every match for the United States in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, which ended with a 2-1 loss to Mexico in the final on Sunday in Houston.
McGlynn tallied seven goals and seven assists in 99 MLS matches (56 starts) with Philadelphia from 2021-24.
