Ederson agrees to join Manchester United

Ederson is one of many names to be linked with a move to Manchester United this summer as the club looks to improve its squad in key areas.

The defensive midfielder, who currently plays for Atalanta, has appeared 178 times for the goal whilst also scoring 15 times.

It is expected that Manchester United will recruit in midfield this summer and business has already been completed with the extension of Kobbie Mainoo’s contract until 2031.

Ederson, arguably, is the next step in the puzzle as the club looks to work with their respective budget to help sign players.

Previously, it was uncovered that the club were preparing to make a bid of more than €40 million euros for the midfielder.

Now the midfielder has took his own stance on the deal with him agreeing personal terms with United according to journalist Nicolo Schira.

Reporting on X, the journalist stated that the midfielder has agreed personal terms with Manchester United with a contract until 2031.

Schira also stated that the deal would be split into €5 million per year wages, helping United in their bid to meet financial rules.

Finally, the journalist has revealed that the Red Devils are prepared to make a bid of €45 million to try and close the deal.

For Manchester United supporters, the uncovering of this news is arguably important in their hopes of signing the midfielder.

With Casemiro looking likely to stick by his decision to leave the club at the end of the season, Ederson may come in to try and replace the Brazilian international.

It remains to be seen when the official deal will be completed between the two parties although, with a bid of €45 million, United may hope that it finalised before other clubs begin to threaten.

Focus will now switch towards the completing of the deal which may happen across the next couple of weeks or months.
