Eduardo Camavinga offered to Manchester United

Eduardo Camavinga remains on Manchester United’s radar as Michael Carrick searches for one more midfield signing this summer.

United have already strengthened the position by signing Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.

Even after those arrivals, the club still want another midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Most of the attention has focused on Real Madrid.

Aurelien Tchouameni has been heavily linked with Old Trafford throughout the summer. BBC Sport recently reported there remains optimism that a deal could still become possible.

Camavinga has also featured in United’s internal discussions.

Earlier reports suggested the France international wanted to stay at Real Madrid and fight for his place.

A fresh update has now added another twist to his situation.

Fresh transfer update emerges on Eduardo Camavinga

According to talkSPORT, Camavinga has been offered to Manchester United through intermediaries.

The report adds that several other leading Premier League clubs have also been informed of his availability.

United have admired Camavinga for some time. His versatility is a major attraction because he can play as a holding midfielder, a number eight or even at left-back.

Last season wasn’t his best season.

However, he still managed to a 91.8% pass accuracy and averaged 6.72 defensive contributions per 90 in LaLiga, which ranks among the best for players in his position.

Carrick is looking for another energetic midfielder after the arrivals of Santos and Tielemans, making Camavinga a logical option.

The only problem is that completing a deal would not be straightforward.

talkSPORT claim the Real Madrid star would command a significant transfer fee. They also note that his injury record since arriving in Spain could concern interested clubs.

Tchouameni remains the Real Madrid midfielder most strongly linked with Manchester United. Even so, Camavinga has once again emerged as another possible target.

United are expected to assess several options before deciding who becomes their third midfield signing of the summer.
